School students stay smart online

Australian schools are being offered free e-security resources to help students to stay smart online.

"To help kids to be aware of how to be smart and secure online, we've launched new interactive learning modules, available free for all Australian schools."

"These tools are targeted specifically at Year 3 and Year 9 students and highlight the simple steps they can take to be smart online."

"Being more secure online can be as simple as getting a better, stronger password and updating it twice a year. Students should understand that their personal information is valuable and be careful about what they give away online."

The Budd:e E-security Education Modules feature e-security tips, games and video content. They have been developed specifically to provide an enjoyable and informative experience for students.

The Budd:e E-security Education Modules are available for download and order on CD-ROM from the Australian Government's e-security website www.staysmartonline.gov.au
