The Collie’s are an online project of the NSW Country Areas Program and have being running since 2003. "Collie" is a mischievous garden gnome who travels extensively, or engages in unusual activities, usually without telling anyone where he is going or what he is doing.Collie has been to visit 10 different workers in your community and found out their roles and responsibilities. Can you discover which workers they were? You will need to research a number of helpers in your community and then try to work out which helpers Collie has visited
As part of Collie’s Helpers students need to complete research grids answering the following questions about each helper
- What does this worker do?
- Describe what this worker wears.
- What equipment does this worker use?
- What skills does this worker need?
- Is this worker paid or a volunteer?
- Does this worker work inside or outside?
- Where is this worker found?
